This thread has been focusing on depression the past few pages. That's only one of many reasons why people try to commit suicide. These are a few others.
1. Loss of Hope.
2. Frustration.
3. Fear.
4. Psychosis.
5. Drugs and/or alcohol.
6. Regret.
7. Fed up with life/society.
8. Heartbreak.
9. Massive life change.
10. Terminal illness
It's an amazingly complex subject which is why I get frustrated with those that try to tidy it all up with a few select sentences they get out of some article.
