Nah, they basically started and pioneered an entire subgenre with Miami Bass, they were the first to ever use lyrics like they did, first to get a parental advisory ticket, first to come out of florida, and they had more than one hit, they actually had quite a few, to top it off they were doin' it in 85' so they were helping pioneer the genre as a whole. In terms of a party emcee I'd say the guys in 2 live crew are defintely contenders for the best.
Edit: Plus they got all their hits and did all this on their leader Luke Campbell's own independent label which was also pretty amazing for the time.
