I used to listen to a lot of Japanese music in high school, then I studied it for 4 years at university (but by that time I stopped caring about Japanese culture, school does that to you).
Nowadays if I go back and listen to a song in Japanese, I'm like "whoa... I understand that now." =D So it's a cool experience.
