i just think a large majority of modern music has taken a turn for the worst and its so much more about image now as apose to the music. i blame mtv. also you've got things like emo, i mean its not exactly the greatest genre someone could have come up with. and out of metal recently pops a display of droning cheese metal, i've got nothing against screaming vocals when theres talent behind the guys voice but tuning your guitarist to drop c playing open notes whilst having the drummer wank around the kit just isn't music. no matter how much you wanna pretend im being old fassioned, there's alot of metali love but there's a WHOLE load of crap being dished out. i don't really think we should have expectations for modern music in which we compare modern bands to bands like led zepplin. And i think modern musics gotta pull through soon, cause i've had enough of all the crap you get on sky.
