Occasionally I went to this unusual country pub, now sadly closed. It has an octagonal tower and a main bar that resembles a baronial hall. Rather incongruously, it was often full of bikers:-

I used to go to one with my dad and sister when we were kids (obviously didn't drink), had a pool table, tennis court, bowling green and snooker hall but they knocked it down

Ye Olde Man & Scythe is the current boozer of choice after the D&P was tragically put to an end. 4th oldest Pub in Britain, and a hub of paranormal activity.



I prefer pubs and probably clubs to bars. Bars need to make up their mind.
