i mean i guess it depends. the middle east isn't all one big thing thats exactly the same everywhere. in saudi arabia for example, i imagine metal bands would be okay in somewhere like jeddah since its more liberal but not so much in the capital city, which is more conservative. there are bands of course who have had to run away because of threats. but often they run away to other arab countries. so i dunno. its complicated i guess.
