I disagree. There are many ways that you can be racist without flat out saying "I hate ni
ggers." Of course there are people who use the term too lightly, but that in no way accounts more subversive forms of racism. Do you really think anyone in this day and age is dumb enough to explicitly oust themselves as racist?
