The DOJ and FBI are suppose to do everything possible to not seem partisan and especially not potentially interfere with elections.

But if he was a Democrat and didn't go public then he'd catch the same **** from the Republicans. His party affiliation would make no difference, except perhaps from the amount of **** he would catch.
