My dad told me to touch the stove when I asked if it was still hot because he took a pan off and it went from red hot to the regular black. He asserts that I never touched it again after that but I think "of course it's still hot, you dumb mother****er" would have worked. Instead, a four year old frownland got third degree burns on four of his fingers.
