For sure, but there are always still local elections and issues to consider - I've always been of the opinion that if you can't be bothered to care/vote your complaints afterward are invalid and I have no patience for it.
I voted third party, not because I support either of the third party candidates necessarily, but because I was hoping we would reach the magical 5% that would potentially lead to a tangible shake up in the two party system, and being from California there wasn't really a question that we'd go blue, so the whole "wasted vote" thing didn't really apply. Alas, nothing came of it, but all the props and measures I supported passed and our new city council is top notch thanks to the under 35 vote.
