What do you mean by that, the first wave of Punk has been cliche, or the material that has been continued on after first wave. Do you think the Punk sound of the Sex Pistols is now cliche, or a bands e.g. Green Day is cliche?

btw it's one of my favorite blips. Almost everything was a blip, then later on there is a revival. Some revival bands are good others are not. Don't let Green Day cloud your judgement.
