So...what do you think of The Shining?

That's one of those very few horror movies that I straight up love.
It's Kubrick, so that helps. I love the acting, the soundtrack, the way it is filmed... There are so many great moments in that movie. I've even got the Stephen King novel on my shelf. Haven't read it yet since, no surprise, I don't read horror - so I need to force myself a bit. I watched the movie again recently and loved it so much that I wanted to see how different things are in the book...
Other horror movies of some sort that I straight up love:
Alien
Dracula (the Coppola movie)
The Thing (Carpenter's version, of course)
Arachnophobia
Ghost Busters (ok that one is a stretch)
Twixt was an allright late career Coppola movie. Pretty interesting and unusual.
This BBC produced Dracula movie was also quite decent:
Dracula (TV Movie 2006) - IMDb
So I like a few, but those are basically it, out of hundreds. The problem is that I'm not really interested in the horror part of the equation. None of the movies above are scary at all.
