Yes, Hefner was very much a part of that world, and watching the wake of his death and seeing people who just write him off as some sort of sleazy porno guy is pretty sad, that that is what his life has been reduced to when it comes to people saying good riddance (just wait until Flynt is gone, this will be intensified as the people who hated him for attacking the women's movements will laugh in a way that Hugh wont get).

Hugh was very in touch with that part, his involvement and respect for gays and blacks in that time should be taken into consideration too.

I like Hugh, but as I say I just find Larry to be a more colorful and no holds barred type of person, his victory over Falwell is one thing I love. He helped free speech move forward and I liked that about him.

There is a part of me that thinks Larry is the guy who is open and honest, while there were parts of Hugh that were hidden, Hugh is like the creepy uncle who you dont really know, cause he tries to hide that part, Larry is the one who flaunts it and makes no claim to be anything but.
