They never say 'that's life' when good things happen, because, well, that's not life. I think a sense of nihilism helps to where you just don't take things too seriously anymore. Especially when you're numb to it. You kind of find the humor in the ****ed up things that happen, make jokes that helps digest some of the bitter pieces of life with out making you sick. I stopped hoping for better things and expect nothing but the worst, but I try hard to create moments that will make me look back and laugh with those around me despite the hell life throws at us.
