yeah me too, but even if he had de-fleaed the cat, it's hard to bring a strange cat in to the territory of an established one. Not worth the hassle.

Ours is strictly an indoor cat. We let it out on the patio supervised.

Thanks for the props for my Dad. Last Tuesday evening we were all pretty sure he wouldn't last the night.

Already done. But they don't use satellites to geo-locate the pet if it gets lost. Thanks a lot science.

I know this full well, but any stray that will let itself be brought inside is a friendly ass mother****er who deserves love. I'm hoping Merit keeps feeding it. Dude deserves a steady food source at the very least.

I feel ya. But now that his own cat is back there could be trouble if another one is getting fed. Merit's cat would see that as an intruder/interloper stealing his food. You know cats: everything is theirs as far as they're concerned. They just let you live in their house. Would be better to try and home it if that were possible, or find a no-kill animal shelter maybe.

If one is an indoor cat that isn't let outside while the other is just getting fed by the doorstep then there wouldn't be an issue.

That's true. I used to feed a stray that would sit in my lap believe it or not. We tried to get her in the house once (we have two indoor cats) but she pretty much freaked out. The indoor cats were surprisingly fine though.

Used to have an outdoor cat that was a neighbor's who we believe moved and just left her. She hung around our house for years until we moved and we just took her. Then she was OUR outdoor cat until she got old and just decided she'd like to be an indoor cat until she passed away. Great cat who took **** from no one but was the friendliest thing to anyone who wasn't another cat.

All I know is that both my remaining cats are very much indoor ones (Eddie goes out into the back garden in the morning, Molly might go out a little later but they're both in for good by the time Karen settles down for the afternoon, around 2pm) but they both go ape**** if another cat comes into the garden, or even looks in at the door. Scrape the mat, pee on the carpet, run up and down, flinging themselves against the window etc. Maybe mine are just mad.
