My phone kept refusing to work the other day (after months of being generally useless and infuriating), and while I was at the MetroPCS store watching them try in vain to fix it I finally just stopped them and said "Stop. It's fine. Just throw it in the garbage. It's fine." (..Also I read a while back that dudes at phone stores will scroll through your photos when they go into the back room, so I've been a bit paranoid since then) I miss how certain older appliances/electronics would start working again if you simply hit it in just the right spot/shook it a few times or whatever. Much more cathartic than smashing buttons desperately.
