But Lansky watered down Cage’s ideas. Isn’t that like saying screwdrivers make vodka more palatable? Which isn’t wrong but (and I know I don’t have to defend Cage to you) a composition like HPSCHD said what needed saying. And Lansky is in a class with like Morton Subotnick and Cage is with Schoenberg.
