Thats because most americans have really sh*tty taste in music, hell James Blunt is selling more records than anybody at the moment, and that guy just plain sucks.
Record sales dosent automaticly make a band better, you obviously know this, unless you think Journey are a better band than Echo And The Bunnymen.
