Don't homeschooled kids usually turn out WAY smarter [well, score better on standardized tests]?
I went to a couple of private Christian schools in my youth. I enjoyed the small student-to-teacher ratio, but the
"teachers" weren't the least bit qualified to instruct
ANYONE on
ANY subject. It really was a disservice. No teaching degrees were required. No college degrees were required. My 5th grade teacher could barely read. He got kicked out of the Marines for doing drugs, and he was a strict a$$hole.
When he would read aloud to us and mess up the words, which he did every day, if we corrected him, he would get all angry and make us go to the front of the room and teach the class for the rest of the day
"because we thought we were so smart."
