Yeah. I mean I remember when it came out and my heart sank. Daydream Nation was already pointing in much safer direction then the next thing I knew people who had never heard Bad Moon Rising were walking in Goo t-shirts. It was like Sonic Youth had been gentrified. And Goo is painfully inferior to Confusion, BMR, EVOL, and Sister.

They were indeed a guitar band and definitely guitar heroes. They were the final statement concerning rock’n’roll guitar that was born as Chuck Berry hit its stride with Hendrix and died in the atonal roar of early Sonic Youth.
