It's also kind of disgusting to even equate the two.
I agree with elph. I understand that a big reason a lot of people abused me was because they were going through the same pain and if they weren't I wouldn't have been abused.
However, understanding people and why they did what they did doesn't mean I have to forgive them. They aren't entitled to that.
