Sorry to be a broken record about this elph but I think you’re an alcoholic and you need to stop drinking and I think it’s very urgent.

Take a break from drinking. Seriously. Find something else to occupy your time (coloring while listening to music worked for me) and just stick to some kind of wake up, go to work, give your body sustenance, run down the clock until you to to bed at a reasonable hour routine and I swear to god you will feel better. Fake it until you make it. Give your brain a chance to work.

My sister just called me today about my mom's drinking. We're trying to figure out how to approach it. She's 60.

Hate not being drunk? You're at the beginning of this ride. It's only going to get harder.

I wish I could have talked to my Mom about her drinking, but I was in a downward spiral myself at the time. Booze and pills sent her into a Grand Mal seizure and she went into a coma, only to come out of it weeks later with the cognitive abilities of a 3 month old. This was our life for 13 years. Taking care of her until she passed away peacefully. I gotta give my Step-Dad a lot of credit for just being there for her around the clock through the entire thing. My brother too.

In the same position as you except my sister is a massive boozer as well. My mom is the most stubborn person in the world so she won't listen to anyone.

Think you know you need to stop Elph, hopefully you manage to do it before you completely destroy yourself.
