Yeah, but the thing here is that the movie Iron Man came up with the idea and is narcissistic enough to push something he came up with. And it completely goes along with his character arc of self sacrifice for what he thinks is the greater good. Everything he does that undermines authority is because he thinks he's always right and it's lead to a lot of **** ups including creating something that almost destroyed the world. It goes completely with his character that the guilt he felt from that moment inspires him to push something he thinks is right on other people. Gives him a lot more nuance and humanity IMO.
