Oscar Peterson -- my all time favorite

Roland Hanna

Toshiko Akiyoshi -- Her work with her husband Lew Tabackin and their big band was fine but her solo piano work is great

Marian McPartland -- She was so much more than the host of the great Piano Jazz program. Her work over decades of a very long life showed her aptitude for many styles, from older traditional jazz to free jazz.
