The Tenores di Orosei are among the most impressive custodians of Sardinian Cantu a Tenore. This polyphonic singing tradition, recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage, is deeply rooted in pastoral culture. Its origins are said to date back more than 3,000 years, and its archaic allure is palpable even in modern concert halls. All these a cappella pieces are performed according to the traditional stylistic conventions of the Baronia region, home to the 7,000-resident municipality of Orosei.
