For me it's the 70s?... Why?... Because rock music had become pretty diverse but at the same time new creative forms of music were being born... The 70s had a lot, classic rock and prog was barely just a scratch of the service when it came to all the great music that was being made... R&B, Funk, Punk rock, you name it... So when someone is gonna say that i'm closed minded for voting for the 70s because i'm some classic rock elitist, they can go to hell.... They're just being a bunch of assh*les who think that if they like the same bands as their parents that makes them "uncool".
This is just preference of course, because i don't believe there to be a factual answer to this question.
