You just have to look at the discussion page of any article to see that there are 10 people ready to fix it at any one time. Still, I wouldn't use Wikipedia for a research paper... universities don't tend to like that.

I guess Bane of Your Existence might have to settle for the word of people in this matter, because I can't be arsed looking for a proper source which concurs. Thrash metal is a metal genre, but it is very influenced by punk rock, and tends to be more complex. The punk/thrash similarities can be especially seen in some bands like Municipal Waste, Cro-Mags etc. Both genres tend to have similar aspirations.
