Brand New with each release have shown notable maturing. While they started a "pop-punk/emo" band (and have never been able to shake the tag) they've turned into a different all together with the release of The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me and the leaked Fight Off Your Demon demos. Showing obvious influences from hardcore, Modest Mouse, and Morrissey. Brand New have proven to be a dynamic alternative rock band.
