I have NEVER liked a band on the idea of them being anti-conformist, all of the music I listen to I listen to because I genuinely enjoy thier music, and not ONCE did I find any of those bands on TV or or some mainstream facet, I found the bands I listen to with personal research, my dad's enormous CD collection,
occasionally a friend will share a band he likes with me that I find to like myself.

That wasn't a groundless declaration, it was in response to the notion that people who listen to mainstream music aren't tremendously interested in music, which is the REASON my taste in music is 'better'; because I actually do care, quite a lot.
