Fact is, at the end of the day music is music, man. All this genre stuff is ridiculous. Why SHOULD we view 50 Cent as being in a different category to Cannibal Corpse, George Formby, Johnny Cash or even Ludwig van Beethoven? They all converge in making music when all's said and done and the dust has settled. The only differences lie in the melodies and the volume. Same could be said in a comparison of Greenday and The Offspring, both classically recognized as being the same genre. Genre's just an illusion, people. Music is music.
