I have to disagree on that. NMTB is a lot of fun, once you start hearing the humor. On the other hand, even if you take it straight, I think it achieves the White Light/White Heat trick of taking ugliness and making it...attractive, even beautiful, by virtue of expressing it so perfectly.
Nothing against the Ramones, who I think are one of the better New York bands from that time, but they have nothing on the Pistols.
