I think both of those questions have been asked several times and yes intellect and health are much more important qualities in a president then race or gender.
However the US has had stupid presidents and has had sickly presidents. FDR's last two terms he was just waiting to die and Hell W.H. Harrison died weeks into office. All I am saying is that I think it's the fact that it's new that interests people, not the fact that it's a black or female candidate.
