Wouldn't call myself a "punker", just really a person who appreciates good music. But on the contrary, I prefer the Sex Pistols. I have albums by both bands and enjoy all of them... but to me, the Ramones sounded very... processed I guess, is the expression I'm looking for... kind of pop-punk if you will. Sex Pistols didn't give a ****. Just went out, did their thing, tried to make their point. For some reason someone singing about Anarchy in the UK and bashing EMI & abortions and whatnot speaks louder and more realistically to me than a more poppy band telling us they wanna be sedated because of the pain of white-collar life.
