It was the 80s, and as Urban pointed out, it pretty much didn't matter who you were, everyone had some sh*t back then.
But I don't think anything was more of a slap to the face of us proggies than Asia, here you have a supergroup with Steve Howe from Yes, John Wetton from King Crimson and Carl Palmer from ELP, all of whom are prog legends.... Doing bland Journey-lite 80s arena rock. It's like if Jimmy Page, Neil Peart, Geezer Butler and Rob Halford started a band that specializes in rapcore.
