I Can't Dance is worse.

It was the 80s, and as Urban pointed out, it pretty much didn't matter who you were, everyone had some sh*t back then.

But I don't think anything was more of a slap to the face of us proggies than Asia, here you have a supergroup with Steve Howe from Yes, John Wetton from King Crimson and Carl Palmer from ELP, all of whom are prog legends.... Doing bland Journey-lite 80s arena rock. It's like if Jimmy Page, Neil Peart, Geezer Butler and Rob Halford started a band that specializes in rapcore.

Apparently I've managed to inadvertently completely cut myself off from pop culture because I've heard plenty of people complain about how awful and ubiquitous Coldplay are and yet I have no idea what these people are talking about. I think I've only heard two or three Coldplay songs in my life and they seem okay, though they're probably not a band I'd ever run out and buy anything by.

If you're posting in the music forums make sure to be thoughtful and expressive, if you're posting in the lounge ask yourself "is this something that adds to the conversation?" It's important to remember that a lot of people use each thread. You're probably not as funny or clever as you think, I know I'm not.

Wondering if Coldplay is a generational thing. My kids are all in their 20's and it's real big with people their age, but most people my age are like you and haven't noticed how much of a factor they've become in popular music.
