I don't think anyone is gonna go the way of Sega any time soon. Certainly not Nintendo, the DS and Wii should already compensate for the loss they suffered with the Gamecube. With as many hits as Nintendo have had, a failure or two isn't gonna hurt them. Unlike Sega who's had only one console that has ever broken 20 million and were burdoned by one failure after another.
I don't think Sony have anything major to worry about either. Sega are only a video game company. Sony are a hardware and entertainment company with many divisions and subsidiaries, not even the PS3's utter ass whooping at the hands of Nintendo and Microsoft would be enough to really hurt their business, though a similar underperformance from the PS4 or PS5 might.
There's enough room for 3 consoles. No one is doomed. Anyone who says otherwise is a f*cking idiot.
