I just saw this movie yesterday for the first time since 1992. For a long time I really hated this movie and thought it was the absolute worst of the Alien franchise, but having seen it again now I've pretty much reversed my opinion. It's not quite as good as the first two, but it's a solid movie that works well with the other movies while retaining a unique feel all its own.

I would have loved to have seen the orignal director Vincent Wards version. It would have really been something:
HorrorLair - Alien 3 Script by John Fasano and Vincent Ward. If you can manage to find it check out his film
The Navigator. Highly unusual and inventive.
