Generation Terrorists and The Holy Bible are the essential Manics albums for sure. Gold Against The Soul comes in third but I can understand that it doesnt quite match up to them in comparison. It's a little polished which the other two were definitely not and its not as strong. It's still a great record though I think, I enjoy listening to it every now and then. JDB's guitar work on that record is probably the best it has ever been.

I'm glad you liked it. The Manics have changed time and time again over the years but if you like that I would recommend the three records mentioned above - Generation Terrorists, Gold Against The Soul and The Holy Bible.
