Easily my favourite Aesop Rock song, one of the few where he actually rides the beat instead of stomping all over it.

That was the first time I have listened to them, i dig it. You have good taste, in my humble, low-post count, opinion

Generation Terrorists and The Holy Bible are the essential Manics albums for sure. Gold Against The Soul comes in third but I can understand that it doesnt quite match up to them in comparison. It's a little polished which the other two were definitely not and its not as strong. It's still a great record though I think, I enjoy listening to it every now and then. JDB's guitar work on that record is probably the best it has ever been.

I'm glad you liked it. The Manics have changed time and time again over the years but if you like that I would recommend the three records mentioned above - Generation Terrorists, Gold Against The Soul and The Holy Bible.

I just love the album really. Not much to say except that the song and album kick a whole shitload of ass.

Well times changed with The Manics. They love The Smiths and Joy Division and a lot of other bands that werent really relevant to their early career a lot and a lot of their influences in the present day or from about 1995 onwards are probably much different or at least the ones you will actually hear in their music are. Back in the day it was The Clash, Guns 'n Roses, The Sex Pistols.

Not as good as the studio version, there's this great line during the banjo solo that says "what the hell is that? banjo ain't got no place in hell, send that **** back up!"
