could argue that the top 10 SNES games are better than any Genesis game and I wouldn't necessarily disagree with you.
I just think the Genesis has
more good games (that are also exclusives) and while most SNES classics are based on tried and true franchises of the NES era, by comparison Sega didn't have a bunch of big name franchises so they had to start from scratch, many Genesis games were based around more original gameplay mechanics, so they were a bit more fresh to some people.

I did a top 50 list for both, I might expand them into top 100s eventually.
