actually yes, and what was initially announced was more in line with a sci-fi CoD type game (squad based co-op action). it was also supposed to be the first time bungie released a title for the pc before the mac. then microsoft decided it needed an exclusive to sell the original xbox and drove a couple of trucks of money to their offices.
