Although I love the image aesthetics in Lynch's movies, which in this one will be great miss, I guess the sound design is the real work of creation with Lynch, imo.

U noticed the sound design?
My new favourite poster! I only listened to the film with the stereo (2.0) soundscape and haven't yet checked out the 5.1 soundtrack on the disc although using a DV camera there is a lot that seemed to get lost in translation.
I agree completely with your statement about why he used DV and in terms of the story it was the best choice but as he used a standard definition camera (just before the current HD BOOM), the picture is very grainy in parts and loses a little power.
