What's The Latest Film You Have Seen?

The International
My god was this an awful movie. I wasn't really looking for much here, just some suspense and intrigue, but what I got was one of the most muddled, poorly-written movies I've seen in a long time. Characters are introduced and discarded left and right with no development whatsoever. Minor plot points are introduced and never explained while major plot points reveal themselves to not make the slightest bit bit of sense upon even a moment's thought. Ultimately the whole thing grinds to a halt with an ending that feels more like the filmmakers just gave up instead of trying to finish the movie. Really the only positive thing I can say about it is that some of the cinematography was nice. Unless you want to see it solely for that reason I say avoid, avoid, avoid.

Can't believe that's my first Jim Jarmusch movie, tho I own most of his filmography on DVD. Next one will be Coffee and Cigarettes .

Mystery Train is a great movie. I'd recommend checked out some of his other movies like Night On Earth, Down By Law or Ghost Dog before watching Coffee and Cigarettes. C&G is much more entertaining if you're pretty familiar with other Jarmusch movies IMHO.

Or half the people who are in it. Dunno what anyone else thinks, but that scene with Tom Waits and Iggy Pop is one of the most hilariously awkward things I've ever seen on film, more for how much of their work I know than anything else. Same goes for most of the rest of the film.

Haha. Yeah, that's one of my favorite segments in the movie.

I think Dead Man is my favorite I've seen of his.

Just remembered that I saw this one last year, a really great movie.
I need to see it again, as I was too tired then to concentrate and understand all the second and third degree meanings of the film.

I saw this today:

I loved it, a lot. I highly enjoyed the fact that it was filmed in my home state, as I always love to see familiar scenery in an industry dominated by other parts of the world. I also thought it was a very accurate portrayal of what it's like to be a kid - without giving too much away, I adored the part where Max told the 'wild things' that he wishes that they had a mum to look after them. It hints at the idea that there is no such thing as kings, but it is mothers and fathers and families who are the kings of a child's world. Great film, and I loved it. I was anticipating this film for a while and it definitely lived up to my expectations.

i want to see that^

yesterday i watched back to the future part 1 - they don't make movies like this anymore lol

also watched zombieland, wasn't expecting much from it so i was pleasantly surprised.
