well you and anyone else who shares that sentiment is flat-out wrong. i am not saying you don't live in england - you do - but the
island, that is, the mass of land on which the
country england is found is called great britain. if you are saying the island is called england, you are saying that scotland and wales are found on the island of england...
you can't live in england and not be on great britain. unless unbeknownst to me it has physically become seperate and floated off.
i think you're equating great britain to the united kingdom. which is incorrect - GB = physical landmass, UK = political state which happens to govern that whole landmass plus northern ireland.
not to be nitpicky. its a peeve of mine.
