Yeah I didn't mean bling like gold chains and jewelry, I just meant show off what they have and that they can afford stuff, namely athletic brands like Adidas, Nike, etc.
A lot of the characters in British gangster flicks that are basically dumb errand boys for the mobsters are usually portrayed as chavs, right? I'm thinking
Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrels, for example, one of the two dudes stealing the rifles was a chav. I think there are some in every British gangster action/comedy.
