Regarding 12 Monkeys... I don't know, I need to watch it again. The first go-round just seemed cheesy to me.
I'm starting to think it has something to do with Bruce Willis though... I thought Surrogates was cheesy as well.

Hmm .. 12 Monkeys for me doesn't come near The Fisher King or Brazil in ters of both quality and enjoyment. Like you've, I've only seen it once though. I call myself a Terry Gilliam fan, so I too should watch it again. The other two films I like so much from him are definetly growers that are better on the second or even third watching so I expect that should go for 12 Monkeys too ..
The thing for me, I think, is I didn't feel that attached to the characters in 12 monkeys as I did in the others.
