The only criticism of Cast Away, it was the same director as Forrest Gump.. and it showed, very sentimental and similar direction on both films. Not really a criticism, more of an observation.

*SPOILER* I remember that he returned, he remembers how cool are the lighters after having such a difficulty making fire. He returns to his wife that has remarried (Helen Hunt was it?), cz she thought he was dead. They both cry, cz they love each other, but now she has a new family.
And then, black out. Don't remember a thing.
