^I've watched this movie easily more than 10 times in my life. And until now, I still don't remember what happens after he returns from the island, although that's half the story.

You should really put SPOILER in big black letters, if I read that before watching it I would've made an internet voodoo doll of you. I wasn't sure whether he'd live or die on the island when watching, which made it much better. I remember talking to a friend and I was saying don't you hate people who ruin films. "I'm watching *name of film*" "oooh, the one where he dies at the end?" and a few minutes later I said I'm gonna watch Cast Away and he said "he dies at the end." so I wasn't sure if he was joking or double bluffing. But yeah, how can you not remember?!

I did think about putting some *spoiler* marks (as I hate people that do spoil movie). But C'mon! Who doesn't know that ?
It's like being surprised when E.T returns home. (or should I insert another Spoiler Alert?)

No one gives a shit about E.T, shit film. Cast Away on the other hand is good.

The only criticism of Cast Away, it was the same director as Forrest Gump.. and it showed, very sentimental and similar direction on both films. Not really a criticism, more of an observation.

Specially that he's working with the same actor.

So to return to Cast Away's story *SPOILER* I remember that he returned, he remembers how cool are the lighters after having such a difficulty making fire. He returns to his wife that has remarried (Helen Hunt was it?), cz she thought he was dead. They both cry, cz they love each other, but now she has a new family.
And then, black out. Don't remember a thing.

Cast Away *SPOILER*..... He returns to civilisation yeah, and all of that jazz. Before the plane crashed, he was set to marry Helen Hunt. He gave her that watch back, the family heirloom.. they cry, confess their undying love for each other but she's married and can't abandon her responsibilities blah blah blah. Then he decides to take a road trip and deliver a Fedex package that he kept on the island, it had angel wings on it. He never opened it, not sure why.. maybe he thought I WILL deliver that package WHEN I get off the island? He got to the person's house, no one home. He left the package. And then reached a crossroads (figuratively speaking and an actual crossroads) a woman whose house was the house he delivered the package to, came and gave him directions to where all the roads lead.. and he looked down her road and it ended. Remember?

Lmao, I remember that part very well (the crossroad). Seems that I never realised that was the end of the movie. For me, the story=the island.

MOTHER F*CKING SPOILER - What I never got was, he clearly went a bit mad whilst on the island, after he returned.. he was fine. Surely he would've needed psychiatric help?
