Hmm...What was the topic again?
ok the debut album ripped off zeppelin and sabbath riff wise, and to an extent jack white rips off frank blacks vocals...but as big3 said, they are innovative not only with their music (which incidently does encompass the blues heavily but in a simplistic format not seen before), but their style, aura and end product. there hasnt been anything like them in the past.
by the way, innovative means something ahead of the time which paves the way for other factions to follow...well judging by music around at the moment (im thinking the subways, black keys, DFA '79 etc) id say they fit nice and snug into that term.

and the rapture blow HHH out of the water.
