But doesn't that mean, unfortunately, that not-so-amazing bands, such as The Hives are going to be remembered as innovative? And what about catalyst bands like The Strokes, who blatantly steal from the past (especially the GODS AND GODESSES OF THE VELVET UNDERGROUND, diss them at your own peril....You will spend your life in sh*t music Hell) are going to be remembered as innovative? Look the entire music scene thats respawned since Julian Casablancas started murmuring about Kim Deal's porno pot onstage? I love the guys and everything but does their music really show initiative? Are we just changing the criteria for innovation now, because in modern music, the sparsity of it forces us to do so?

And will I ever find my sense of humour again?
